Walkingfloor Trailer: Flexibility and Efficiency in Bulk Transport
A walkingfloor trailer is a widely used solution for transporting bulk materials. Thanks to its moving floor system, cargo can be unloaded quickly and in a controlled manner without tipping the trailer or using additional unloading equipment. This makes a walkingfloor trailer ideal for locations where safety, speed, and operational continuity are important.

How does a Walkingfloor Trailer work?
The walkingfloor trailer is equipped with a hydraulically driven floor that moves in segments. Through a smart sequence of movements, the floor automatically shifts the load forward or backward, allowing goods to be unloaded fully automatically without tipping. This makes it possible to load and unload in areas with limited height or even inside warehouses.
Applications of the walkingfloor Trailer
At the KDTC Group, we use walkingfloor trailers across various sectors, including:
- agriculture and recycling: Transport of bulk materials such as compost, manure, wood chips and grain
- waste and raw materials processing: Transport of construction and demolition waste, plastics, paper and residual flows. We handle green list waste, red list waste as well as ADR waste
- industrial bulk transport: For moving pallets, bales or other non-bulk goods in combination with floor protection

Capacity and benefits
Our walkingfloor trailers offer a loading volume of up to 92 m³, making them ideal for efficiently transporting large quantities of material.
- fast and safe unloading without the use of cranes or tippers
- suitable for enclosed spaces thanks to horizontal unloading
- flexible deployment for both bulk and packaged goods
- cost savings through efficient handling and shorter unloading times
- semi leak walkingfloor trailers: For wetter loads we deploy semi leak trailers that can retain up to 650 litres of liquid. This prevents leakage during transport and avoids issues during inspections or at unloading locations
- international transport with permits: We hold waste transport permits for operations in Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, England, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Poland and Austria

Frequently Asked Questions
Walkingfloors can be used for bulk materials such as waste, compost, and wood chips, but also for bales, big bags, rolls, and pallets. Even wet or oil-containing materials can be transported using our liquid-tight models.
Absolutely. Since tipping is not required, the risk of vehicle rollover or damage to the surroundings is minimal. Manual covering and unloading are also significantly reduced.
Some of our walkingfloors are liquid-tight. These trailers are used for transporting oil-containing or moist materials, where a liquid-tight tipper would previously have been necessary.
The cost depends on the distance, type of cargo, and duration of use. Feel free to request a non-binding quote, and we’ll prepare a tailored proposal.
Choose a container truck when you're working with fixed containers, smaller volumes, or at locations with limited maneuvering space. They’re ideal for projects with multiple containers on-site or when handling changing types of loads.
Go for a walkingfloor trailer when dealing with larger volumes or when loading/unloading at sites where tipping isn’t possible. Walkingfloors are suitable for bulk goods, pallets, big bags, and wet materials, and they unload automatically without extra equipment.
