Walkingfloor bulk transport
Are you looking for walkingfloor bulk transport for large volumes of bulk goods? DTC is based in Friesland and operates daily with walkingfloor trailers throughout the Netherlands and to international destinations. This type of transport is well suited for volumetric, light to medium weight bulk flows such as waste, recyclable materials and biomass.
Because the trailer does not need to tip, unloading is also possible at locations where height restrictions, ground conditions or safety requirements apply. The load is discharged in a controlled manner without additional unloading equipment. This reduces downtime and lowers the risk of damage to buildings or installations.
Since 2009, we have supported waste processors, recyclers, agricultural companies and producers of secondary fuels with reliable walkingfloor bulk transport.

How does a walkingfloor trailer work?
A walkingfloor trailer is equipped with a hydraulic moving floor consisting of individual slats that move in groups. Due to friction, the load remains in place while the floor moves underneath, allowing the bulk material to be discharged gradually towards the rear.
Unloading takes place without tipping, making it suitable for low halls, bunkers or unloading under installations. The unloading speed can be adjusted very precisely.
Which bulk flows do we transport with walkingfloor trailers?
Walkingfloor bulk transport is mainly used for volumetric materials with a lower specific weight or materials that are difficult to discharge from a tipper. We transport, among others:
- Waste and recycling flows: household waste, RDF, SRF, wood chips, mixed fractions
- Biomass and agricultural bulk: wood chips, sawdust, compost, manure, animal feed and beet pulp
- Raw materials and semi finished products: paper and cardboard, plastic streams, tyre shreds
By lightly compacting the load, you make optimal use of the loading volume. Walkingfloor trailers are also suitable for return loads such as pallets or big bags.

Why choose walkingfloor bulk transport?
For companies working with bulk materials, volume, safety and flexibility are key. A walkingfloor trailer offers loading volumes of approximately 90 to 100 m³, which is significantly more than many other bulk transport solutions.
Key advantages:
- suitable for bulk transport at locations where tipping is not possible
- high loading capacity for light to medium weight bulk
- suitable for both bulk and return freight
- controlled unloading without risk of tipping over

A walkingfloor is suitable for large volumes of loose bulk and situations where tipping is not possible, such as in warehouses or under installations.
For palletised cargo loaded via a dock, a tautliner is more practical.
If you work with fixed containers or have extremely limited space on site, a container truck may be a better option.
