DTR & CSR
To ensure optimal care for people and planet, we consider three pillars:
Planet
We refuse to use trailers that aren’t compliant with the EURO VI standard. Our drivers receive additional driver training annually and are notified of their fuel efficiency each week. We also make use of trailers that run entirely on HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil), a non-fossil fuel, which can reduce carbon emissions by as much as 90%.
We invest in new (trailed) equipment continuously in order to take optimal advantage of new technological innovations. We equip our tractor/trailer combinations with reversing cameras and invest in systems compliant with the Direct Vision Standard (DVS). Furthermore, all our walking floors are equipped with wireless remotes, cover sheets and other useful extras as standard for improved ease of use, safety and vehicle lifespan.
People
All our drivers receive compensation in accordance with their collective labour agreement, of course. We make sure they can make their Code 95 points and have the correct PPE to do their job safely. We take their opinions into account when acquiring new tractors and trailers. We listen to their needs and include these in our decision-making process.
Air conditioning is and has been a standard feature in our vehicles for some time. Our drivers obey the rules regarding driving time and rest periods and generally get to spend their weekends at home. We use clear agreements and fast, personal communication to help ensure a healthy work-life balance. We are a certified apprenticeship training provider, allowing us to contribute to a future generation of drivers, planners, administrative and financial staff.
Prosperity
We’re in this business to make a profit, of course, but we also care about how that profit is achieved. We aim to create an environment that’s a good place to work. We invest in our staff and meet their needs where we can. We actively foster personal development through training and coaching. We are always happy to collaborate with our customers honestly and transparently, and with others in the sector as well. We are firmly convinced that you can do more together than alone.
